The WOLF program instructors are DAVID KRIEGER, TASHMYRA CROWE, and JEAN CLAUDE CATRY David and Tashmyra have studied for over 10 years with renowned naturalist Jon Young and The Wilderness Awareness School in Washington, and with Tom Brown Jr. at The Tracker School in NJ. David and Tashmyra have been teaching Outdoor and Environmental Education for over 8 years in Canada, the United States, and Thailand. They have designed and taught the 3 day a week WOLF program, an environmental education program for kids in Nature Awareness, Tracking, Ecological Studies and Traditional Outdoor Skills for up to 14 home schooled youth on Salt Spring Island since 2005. They have taught in The USA for the Coyote Tracks/Children Of the Earth Foundation in New Jersey, Oregon, Alaska and California. For 2 years they taught at a high school in Thailand and developed the first English Language Environmental Studies program in Thailand. During the WOLF Kids last winter break, they taught Environmental Outdoor Camps to over 240 Urban youth in Thailand as a part of their ESL Nature Awareness Project in conjunction with Kaeng Krachan Thai National Park Rangers and Benchamtheputhit School in Phetchaburi Province. David and Tashmyra are also running Survival Quest Camps for youth along the Cowichan River, BC. Jean-Claude Catry has been an instructor at numerous wilderness camps in BC, Oregon, California, and Idaho, and is co-founder of Wisdom of the Earth, offering regular and ongoing wilderness programs for children, teens and adults for the past 3 years. He brings his experience as a homeschooling father of three, and over a decade of leading camps or groups of children and adults on wilderness treks through the French Pyrenees on horse, foot and ski. He is a life-long student of the natural world, spending considerable time in the wilderness relying on his skills.
